At God Chosen Development Center, we use the Abeka-Curriculum. We care for children from 4 weeks to 12 years old, and provide a range of age appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.

Our Philosophy
Our program provides children a foundation of social development to join the exciting new world of education. We feel that it is important to prepare each child for the challenges that are to come.
Who We Are
God Chosen Development Center was started by Mrs. Angela Brown-Church, who has been working in the early childhood field since 1999. Originating in Milwaukee, WI as an in-home child care, God Chosen Development Center has grown over time to provide hundreds of families in the community with affordable, quality care.
With locations in both Decatur and Lawrenceville, Georgia, God Chosen Development Center was named for the role that God played in Mrs Angela opening the center...
“My degree is in Early Childhood Education. It was not my choice of profession but God’s choice. This is why the school is named ‘God Chosen’ . I wanted to acknowledge Him in the Blessing.”
We decided to do things a bit differently at God Chosen Development Center by creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment, somewhere children from 4 weeks to 12 years can explore the world around them.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships. The center also provides families with items needed by parents and children such as warm clothing, non-perishable food, help with daily living resources, and more.
We recognize the important role we play in our community and strive to not only provide children with a supportive environment in which to grow, but to support parents and carers along the way.
Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including daycare for infants, toddlers, preschool/pre-kindergarten, and before/after-school care for Kindergarten through 5th Grade students.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our center.
By developing our programs with the guidance of curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.

Owner and Founder
Blessings all, I am elated to say that I am the owner and founder of God Chosen Development Center locations. I am a wife, a mother of 5 children, and a grandmother. Born in Memphis, TN and raised in Milwaukee, WI.
I began working in early Childhood Education in 1999 with a licensed in-home facility, after a year of
in-home I opened my first center in a facility.
I have a plethora of certificates and degrees in Early childhood Education. However, my hands-on years of experience has been the best teacher for me in this rewarding industry. I would not trade it for anything in the world. The children keep me young and going and I love them and this industry dearly.
At God Chosen Development Center, we live by five core values which we
instill in both our children and our team.

Greetings! My name is Ms. Pamela also known as Ms. Pam. I am a graduate of Auburn University.
I have been working with children for over a Decade. I have served on several boards within the community.
I seek to serve in this capacity at God Chosen Development Center to ensure that quality is always the standard in which governs our practices.

What to Expect from God Chosen Development Center
